Dance CPD Training

We provide continued professional development, offering a range of workshops and courses to support teachers in the delivery of dance.  Teachers from both Primary & Secondary settings can upskill in dance, provided with the tools and ideas to deliver dance to a range of ages. 

We can run one-off workshops during staff inset days or afterschools and longer programs over the academic year.

This Easter, we’re offering two CPD sessions for dance teachers, educators, students & professionals. Designed to refresh technique, expand skills, and reignite creativity, these sessions offer the perfect opportunity to develop practice, connect, network and inspire.

Workshop #1

Thursday 9th April

10.00 – 11.30am Aerial (Silks & Hoop) with Ricia Taylor

11.30 – 12.00pm Lunch break

12.00 – 1.30pm Contemporary Technique with Marie Forbes

1.30 – 2.00pm Tea, Cake & Dance Discussion. 

Held @ Knole Academy, Sevenoaks, Kent

ABOUT MARIE:

Marie teaches a joyful class that is tailored to the individual needs of the participating dancers.  Using principles of Limón technique her practice utilises weight, breath, rhythm, fall and recovery to encourage dynamic movement that works with the body rather than against it.  Marie celebrates the enriching power of dance to create unity and togetherness

12.00 – 1.30pm Hip Hop and House with Kabuki Johnson

Felix Denton’s Contemporary classes blend strong technique with dynamic, expressive movement. Dancers revisit and refine their foundations through focused mind–body exercises, then build into travelling and floorwork that encourages bigger, freer movement across space.
